BPS Begins Fourth Annual ‘Food 4 Thought’ Drive to Help Local Food Pantries to Replenish Shelves

VIERA, FLORIDA –  Brevard Public Schools begins the fourth annual ‘Food 4 Thought’ food drive to benefit local food pantries that assist Brevard families in need.  The food drive for employees, students and the community will continue through Sept. 30.  The two year round schools, Gardendale and Challenger 7 will hold their food drives from Oct.11 through Oct. 21 when they return from intercession.

Last year’s drive was extremely successful, helping the food pantries bridge the gap between the summer months and the Thanksgiving food drives.  Parents and other members of the community are encouraged to donate. Non-perishable food and basic needs items can be dropped off at any school or district office.

Monetary donations can be accepted by check or money order only and should be made payable to the Second Harvest Food Bank.  For more information, please District Communications at 321-633-1000 ext. 796.
