Foundation Receives over $100,000 VIERA, FLORIDA - Brevard Schools Foundation received grants and contributions totaling over $100,000 benefiting a variety of programs for students and teachers in Brevard Public Schools. “We are so grateful for the many companies, organizations, and Foundations that support initiatives in pursuit of the highest levels of scholastic performance,” said Janice Kershaw, Executive Director of the Brevard Schools Foundation. The recent contributors are:
The total amount that was given to the Foundation was $104,647. The grants support activities such as the Brevard Schools Foundation’s Take Stock in Children Program, STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), professional development, Brevard Space Week for 6th grade students, EMBARK for 3rd grade students, school-based science and robotics activities, and classroom grants for teachers. Janice Kershaw also stated, “With resources like these, Brevard Public Schools continues to achieve a broad array of accomplishments.” Brevard Schools Foundation directly supports Brevard County public schools. The Foundation provides scholarships, school supplies, mentoring programs, Space Week, classroom grants, other direct support designed to enhance education.
