Clearlake Students Honor Local Veterans

 

COCOA, FLORIDA – It may be a day off from school, but students in Clearlake’s International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program will spend the day doing yard work, painting, and completing minor repairs at a local veteran’s house on Friday, November 11. 

In conjunction with the Cocoa Police Department, over twenty students, parents, and teachers will honor the sacrifice veteran’s have made for our country by serving them as they have served us. Community service  is a strong foundation of the International Baccalaureate program at Clearlake Middle School in Cocoa, Florida. Not only do students participate in rigorous coursework, but they learn about their role in the world and how they can help others.
