Clearlake and Quest Students Team Up To Support Troops

COCOA, FLORIDA – Students at Clearlake Middle and Quest Elementary school worked together to show their support for soldiers serving overseas by staying after school to make no-sew fleece “Belief Blankets.” These blankets will be delivered to soldiers in time for the holidays as part of an ongoing mission of the Soldiers’ Angels organization. Together, the students have made over ten blankets and next year plan to make more.

Samantha Cavallaro, a seventh grader in Clearlake’s IB-MYP program stated, “I like volunteering and making a difference in the lives of others. It makes me feel like I am doing my part to make things better.”

Quest sixth grader, Jenna Lacy, said, “My Dad is a soldier and loves getting care packages so I know the soldiers that get our blankets will feel very special.”

Soldiers' Angels currently supports tens of thousands of American service members stationed wherever the American flag is raised. The organization is dedicated in supporting the military during and after their deployment.  Besides making “Belief Blankets” like Clearlake and Quest students, there are several ways to support our troops through Soldiers' Angels.
