CBJSHS Student Clement Li to Receive Outstanding High School Student Award
COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Clement Li, a senior from Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School student was selected by the Orlando Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) to receive the organization’s Outstanding High School Student Award. The nominees for annual awards were submitted by colleagues or students because of outstanding achievements in the field of chemistry. Li was one of the six outstanding Brevard high school chemistry students that represented the Orlando Section of the ASC this past April in the U. S. National Chemistry Olympiad. During the Olympiad, Li was recognized by the ACS as one of the participants achieving the rank of "HONOR" in a national exam. About the American Chemical Society Local Section
The ACS Orlando Local Section represents seven (7) counties in Central Florida: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia. One of a growing number of American Chemical Society (ACS) Local Sections, the Orlando Section promotes public awareness of chemistry by being involved in community outreach programs and by working with students and teachers of chemistry and science.
